The Art of Wild Abandonment Bloghop

Welcome blog hoppers and friends! This is my first bloghop and I am so excited! If you are following the Art of Wild Abandonment Bloghop, you have probably came here from Kim Gigot Stanford’s Blog at

I’ve taken an online class with some very talented ladies called The Art of Wild Abandonment by Christy Tomlinson and Junelle Jacobsen. Junelle blogs over at Yes and Amen and she takes the sweetest pictures of lambs that I’ve ever seen. Junelle is our teacher for this art class, and I promise a click over to her blog will just bless you. Her art journals are nothing short of amazing.

This class is the art journaling class I’ve been looking for. I have loved every lesson and learned so much along the way. Here are some art pieces I have created while taking this class.

Note Board

One of the biggest gems that I’ve walked away from the class with is to sketch, sketch, sketch. I have gone crazy sketching and it’s been a place where everything doesn’t have to be perfect so my creativity can just flow. I have loved this new habit and it has helped me come up with some fresh ideas that I cannot wait to journal about soon. Here’s a peek into some of my sketches.

Don’t forget to follow the bloghop onto Donna Peter’s Blog at

If you are new here and want to start at the beginning, the fun starts at or you can find a list at the end of this post.

I cannot wait to make my way through everyone’s blog to see all of the creativity! What a fun adventure this has been!

  1. Kelly, just wonderful work 🙂 I thought I recognised your name from the list and now I am here at your blog, I am sure you were in the same Karen Russell online class as me! Therefore I particulary like your journal page with the camera 😉 Your sketches have a real artsy feel to them and I adore them. Thankyou so much for joining in.

  2. I’ve always been afraid of drawing or sketching — especially in public — but now I’ve joined the Brave Girls club. I have my big sketch book that I started for this class, plus a smaller one that I keep in my purse, cuz you just never know, right?

  3. You are so good!! Loved your sketches, and can I say your joy block just talks to me! Your camera and brushes just say Junelle all over the place. Love your blog!!!!

  4. Your sketches are GREAT! Love your camera and scrapbook pages. So many layers and wonderful lay out. ♥

  5. All your projects are great and I really love your sketches – I can’t even choose a favorite! But the owls crack me up – so cute!

  6. I love EVerything about your art! Wow! Cameras, paint brushes, aprons, boots, you’re art has it all. And you’ve made everything so beautiful and vibrant and embellished with white like sparkles. 🙂 Makes me happy! 😀 Thank you for sharing.
