Today I’m wrapping up Ol’ Blue Eyes trip to England with his final tourist visit to Blenheim Palace.
Blenheim Palace was built between 1705 and 1724 an is the birthplace of Sir Winston Churchill.
The chapel was the only place photos could be taken indoors, and though the home is open for tours, it is still privately occupied by the Spencer family.
The grounds are breathtaking.
The gardens sit upon the River Gylme.
Ol’ Blue Eyes got lost among the walking trials just breathing in the water, the trees, and the wildlife. A nice end to his working days there at Oxford’s Academy.
Below is a summerhouse called “The Temple of Diana” down by the lake. In 1908, Winston Churchill proposed to his future wife here.
That wraps up our little travel jaunt to England. Now time to get this blog back to normal things, like this…
